“My life is very different now”: Serena Williams on taking care of her daughters with her business commitments
Serena Williams founded Serena Ventures, a venture capital firm dedicated to supporting early-stage companies, with a special emphasis on ventures led by women and minorities. Despite her busy entrepreneurial role, she dedicates plenty of time to her daughters, Olympia and Adira. In October, the 43-year-old shared the challenges of balancing her business responsibilities with motherhood on X
“My life is very different now. Instead of chasing balls, I’m chasing #Adira and helping #Olympia with tennis lessons and cooking. (And, all this is in-between Venture Capital calls),” she wrote.

In an interview with Glamour a few months back, Williams disclosed that spending quality time with her daughters and being present in their lives is her greatest achievement.
“I never thought I would say that. But just hanging out with my girls and spending time with them and just showing up every day is an achievement, and it’s not easy. I can’t think of anything else that I achieved that’s better or greater than that,” she said.
The 23-time Major champion is married to renowned tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian. Like Williams, Ohanian also enjoys sharing glimpses of their lives online
