Prince William Shares Update On Kate Middleton’s Health Following Cancer Treatment
Kate Middleton cancer update: For many months, Kate Middleton had been away from the public eye — from the beginning of this year precisely — as she quietly underwent treatment for cancer. Then, in September this year, after a prolonged period of absence, the Princess of Wales revealed she had finally completed all her chemotherapy sessions and was looking forward to resuming her role as a senior member of the British royal family by returning to official duties and appearances. In an Instagram video featuring her family members, including husband Prince William, Kate was seen heading to the wilderness to heal. She called it a feeling of ‘relief’.

Earlier this year, the mother-of-three had undergone a ‘scheduled’ abdominal surgery at the London Clinic. While the procedure was said to have been ‘successful’ then, it was revealed in March 2024 that Kate had been diagnosed with cancer, and had been advised to undergo ‘preventive’ chemotherapy. The news shocked the entire world, because just weeks prior King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, too, had been announced.
But, now that all of that is in the past, William and Kate — whose nature and type of cancer continues to remain unknown — intend to look to the future with hope, and go back to being a normal family with their children George, Charlotte, and Louis.
It is true that since her September health update, Kate’s public appearances have been sparse thus far. Needless to say, she is perhaps taking it slow, ensuring that she stays cancer-free for the rest of her life.
William, however, shared a sweet health update on his wife recently. According to news reports, the future UK monarch spoke about what Kate has been up to after her cancer treatment. The Prince of Wales called her “amazing” while speaking with reporters in South Africa ahead of Earthshot Prize Awards that were held in Cape Town.

“She’s doing really well, thanks. Hopefully she’s watching tonight and cheering me on,” he was quoted as saying. William added: “She’s been amazing this whole year and I know she’ll be really keen to see tonight be a success.”
